Kroger 200 - David Ragan Notes

David Ragan
NASCAR Busch Series: Kroger 200
Saturday July 28
7:30 PM Eastern - ESPN 2/MRN

David Ragan
Team: No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Mike Kelley
Chassis: RK-479 Last ran at Milwaukee, Jun. '07, finished 12th
Ran at Richmond, May '07, finished 14th

Ragan on racing in the NBS at O'Reilly Raceway Park:
"I would like to duplicate our strong finish from last weekend. We sat on the pole here last year in the truck race. It is a good track that reminds me of the short tracks I grew up racing. I feel very comfortable with the setup of the track. It will be a tough race because the field will be stacked with great drivers. I know we can come away with a great finish if we work hard as a team and get on and off of pit road cleanly. Our race car is a rocket, so I don't think we will have any problems staying in the front of the field. We have a lot of racing left in the season and I can see us getting stronger every week. We haven't quite run the perfect race, but I feel we are getting closer and I truly believe great things are about to happen for the Discount Tire team."

Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at O'Reilly Raceway Park:
"We have a great shot to do well at this race track. We are bringing the same car that ran at Richmond and Milwaukee. I think a top10 finish is very realistic. David has great experience at this track that helps his confidence. This weekend will be old-school Saturday night racing at its best. We will have our work cut out for us this weekend because the field will be so deep with great short track racers. The Discount Tire team will be up to the challenge."
