Eric McClure, driver of the No. 0 Hefty® Brand Chevrolet quotes:
(On his finish at Bristol)
“Well, Bristol was a big shot in the arm for the entire HeftyŇ brand team. After a disappointing start to the weekend, we got the car fairly decent and were able to survive, even though we had no brakes. Our guys fought hard all day and we ended up with our best finish of the season. It is amazing what one decent run has done for our team’s morale. We’re excited. Hopefully this leads to a good turnaround for the team. We’ve had a lot of support from the folks at HeftyŇ and we’re ready to get them some results they deserve.”
(On returning to Nashville)
“I really like Nashville a lot. I ran twice there in 2005 for Jimmy (Means) and we ran pretty well, especially in the second event, except we didn’t have a pit crew. We were sharing a crew with another car and we had to wait on them, but they were pitting like 15 stalls away. As a result we ran out of gas and lost six laps in the pits, although we had a top 15 car. I spent a lot of that day alone in our stall with Jimmy. It was fun; we ran well and, hopefully can have a decent finish this time around for our HeftyŇ brand racing team.”
