Milwaukee Mile Recap
The Hefty® Race Team qualified 35th for the 250-mile event.
A pair of green flag pit stops put the team at a deficit it couldn’t overcome.
Eric McClure took the checkered flag in the 31st position.
A Little Magic at New Hampshire International Speedway
As a rookie, McClure will be attempting his 30th NASCAR Busch Series start at the “Magic Mile”
McClure will have to qualify his No. 0 Hefty® Chevrolet on time as he is not locked in the valued top 30 in owner points.
Hefty® Brand will be making its first appearance at New Hampshire International Speedway; Hefty®’s first NASCAR exposure came at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2006 during the Nextel Cup Event.
Past Experience
The Virginia native has yet to make a lap in competition at the Magic Mile, thus his No. 0 Hefty® brand Chevrolet must sport the bright yellow “rookie stripe” across its bumper.
Johnny Davis Motorsports has competed in two events in Loudon, New Hampshire with a best start of 35th (2005) and a best finish of 31st (2006).
Up To Speed
Catch the Hefty® Chevrolet in the Camping World 200 on Saturday, June 30 beginning at 2:30pm (EDT) on ABC. MRN and Sirius Satellite Radio will also broadcast the event live.
Eric McClure, driver of the No. 0 Hefty® Chevrolet quotes:
(On New Hampshire International Raceway)
“New Hampshire is a great area and a really cool track as far as scenery goes. It’s operated by great racing people and looks like a lot of fun. People really come out and support it, which is good with it being in the northeast. I’ve never liked, nor have run particularly well, at the flat tracks in the past due to my lack of experience. We’re hoping to turn that around in the Hefty® brand Chevrolet by getting qualified and then getting seat time and having a decent day.”
