Cale Gale
No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
Team Report
NASCAR Busch Series Race 32 of 35 – Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park

DOLLAR GENERAL 300 RECAP: Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) co-owner and driver Kevin Harvick wheeled the No. 33 Dollar General stores Chevrolet to a 10th-place finish Friday night, October 12, at Lowe’s (N.C.) Motor Speedway. Starting from the 25th position, Harvick quickly began moving forward taking over the 19th position on lap nine. The Dollar General stores team worked hard all night long, making adjustments and keeping the No. 33 Chevrolet out of trouble. Harvick was able to get as high as eighth before crossing the finish line and taking the checkered flag in the 10th position.

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Cale Gale will be behind the wheel of the No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Saturday at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park for the running of the Sam’s Town 250. This will mark Gale’s seventh start this season in the NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) for KHI.

THIS RACE ONE YEAR AGO: This race last year marked Gale’s debut for KHI in a Busch Series car. In his first start for KHI in the Busch Series Gale started 15th and finished the day one lap down in the 25th position at the three-quarter mile track.

ONE MORE TIME: Gale will be making his final start this season in the No. 33 KHI Chevrolet in the Busch Series when he takes the green flag Saturday at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park. Gale’s best Busch Series finish this season was at Kentucky Speedway, where he finished with a strong 13th-place finish.

CHASSIS HISTORY: KHI Chassis No. 034 was previously on track at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway (RIR) with Kevin Harvick behind the wheel and at Kentucky Speedway with Gale in the driver’s seat. In both events, this chassis started from the eighth position, but finished 24th due to an early pit road accident at RIR and 13th at Kentucky Speedway.

JUST 4 YOU: On Tuesday, October 16, Gale took time to visit the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for the quarterly “Just 4 You Day.” The day is designed to give cancer patients undergoing treatment, family members and caregivers an opportunity to socialize and enjoy food, music, door prizes and activities. Gale joined in the festivities by signing autographs, visiting patients and mingling with guests as they enjoyed the fun-filled day. “I really enjoyed today,” said Gale when leaving the event. “To see the patients happy and enjoying themselves, if I made one person’s day this was totally worth it.”

FOUR TO GO: With four races remaining in the 2007 NBS season, the No. 33 KHI Chevrolet currently sits seventh in NASCAR Busch Series Owner’s Points Standings only 15 points out of sixth and 50 points out of fifth.

SWEET HOME ALABAMA: Gale returned home to Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, September 13, to race at his home track, Mobile (Ala.) International Speedway. Racing in the Lee Fields Memorial Miller Lite Super Late Model race, Gale was able to battle his way to the front and hold on to win the 100-lap event on the half-mile asphalt track.

Cale Gale Quotes:
ON RETURNING TO MEMPHIS (TENN.) MOTORSPORTS PARK: “Memphis is where I made my first start for KHI, so it definitely has memories associated with it. It’s a short track, which I really like. Last year we ran good most of the race, but got tangled up in some incidents which cost us a good finish. We were able to drive the car up to seventh place before having problems and finishing 25th. I’m excited to get back in the Busch car this week for KHI at Memphis.”

Dan Stillman Quotes:
ON HAVING CALE GALE BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THE NO. 33 KHI CHEVROLET: “The last few times Cale (Gale) has been in the No. 33 car he has run in the top-15. This race last year is where Cale (Gale) made his first start for KHI and ran well, but was caught up in an accident that caused him to finish 25th. After a long break from the Busch car, we are excited to have Cale (Gale) back in the No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet.”
