AT&T 250 - Frank Kreyer Notes

WISCONSIN'S OWN KREYER'S FIRST BUSCH RACE IN CULVER'S CHEVY AT MILWAUKEE MILE

MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin native and veteran short-track specialist Frank Kreyer drives the Culver's Racing #56 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS into his initial NASCAR Busch Series race June 23 at his "hometown" track, the renowned Milwaukee Mile.

The 37-year-old from Wisconsin Dells, driving super-late models the past six years under the Culver's Restaurant banner throughout the state and the upper Midwest, goes into the AT&T 250, his initial Busch event, excited yet confident.

"I'm pumped! Our testing went really well," he said. "And the Culver's Racing Chevy is a pretty good hot rod. This car races better than my late models and is easier to drive than the truck."

Kreyer competed in two short-track NASCAR Craftsman Series Truck races for certification to drive in Busch races. He qualified well at both Martinsville, Va., in March and Mansfield, Ohio, in May, finishing the first, while having to drop out of the second with engine problems.

"Driving the #44 Culver's Racing Chevrolet Silverado for Key Motorsports was a tremendous experience and great training for this and my other Busch races," he said. "The team behind this car, Mac Hill Motorsports, is great and I had a lot of fun working with them getting ready for Milwaukee."

The challenge of Milwaukee goes beyond a new series at a higher level of competition – Kreyer will be performing in front of friends and family.

"I don't feel any added pressure simply because I'll be racing at my 'hometown' NASCAR track; I've been racing long enough to handle the moment," Kreyer explained. "I want to do well, qualify well and perform well in front of family, friends and my sponsors – Culver's Restaurants – who have been tremendous supporters."

Culver's®, the restaurant chain known for its fresh, frozen custard and ButterBurgers®, Kreyer's sponsor the past six seasons, is broadening its motorsports involvement from a regional program into the national spotlight with a limited 2007 entry into NASCAR. In addition to the two truck races, Kreyer will go to four Busch Series events.

According to co-founder Craig Culver, "Frank's efforts on Culver's behalf the past six years in Wisconsin and throughout the upper Midwest have been terrific, with direct benefits for our restaurants. As Frank moves into the 'big time,' Culver's is thrilled to go along for the ride. We believe NASCAR's strong national reach will help us build broader brand familiarity as Culver's expands and as the sport continues to grow in popularity."

Following Milwaukee Kreyer travels to St. Louis July 21 NASCAR BUSCH Series 250 at Gateway International Raceway, the Kroger 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park (Indianapolis) and the November 10 Arizona.Travel 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.

In addition to the NASCAR program, Kreyer will continue driving the #99 Culver's Ford Fusion in the Wisconsin Challenge Series, along with selected appearances in the newly formed ASA Midwest Tour in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota.
