LEFFLER LOOKING TO JOIN RACING’S GREATEST NAMES IN RECORD BOOKS AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE

  • In the last three weeks, Leffler has posted three consecutive top-15 finishes that has helped him gain 10 spots in the Busch Series point standings, moving from 20th to 10th.
  • In three NASCAR Busch Series starts at Milwaukee, Leffler has one top-five and three top-15 finishes and has qualified inside the top-10 twice. Last year at Milwaukee, Leffler finished fourth after leading for 38 laps and spending 255 of the 258 laps in the top-15.
  • In two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts at Milwaukee (2002 and 2003), Leffler has two second place finishes and a total 81 laps led.

    LEFFLER’S LOOP DATA STATS
Leffler finished fourth at Milwaukee last season after leading 38 laps and leads in a number of Loop Data categories.
    1st in pre-race Driver Rating (129.9)
1st in Average Running Position (3.810)
4th in Fastest Laps Run (34)

LEFFLER ON THE TRADITION OF THE MILWAUKEE MILE:
“The Milwaukee Mile is so rich in racing history and a place where some of racing’s greatest names have won. To win at a place where your name would be listed along with names like AJ Foyt and Parnelli Jones would be pretty special as far as I’m concerned.”

ON RACING AT THE MILWAUKE MILE:
“When you think of good Saturday night racing, you think of The Milwaukee Mile. It’s flat with long sweeping corners so you have to be able to cut down to the bottom through the corners. This is a place where you have to be aggressive and you have to muscle your way to the front, which makes it a really great show for the fans.”

    EQUIPMENT INFORMATION:
The Great Clips team will unload chassis # 17 in this weekend’s AT&T 250 at The Milwaukee Mile. This is the same chassis Leffler drove in a majority of last season’s short track races including Phoenix and Richmond (spring) where he captured the Busch pole for both events, as well as Milwaukee where he started 9th and posted a season-best fourth place finish. Leffler has led a total of 180 laps while driving chassis #17.
