AT&T 250 - Brad Coleman Notes

Coleman Brings Momentum to Milwaukee
Teenager Takes Top 5 Attitude to Next NASCAR Busch Race

New York, NY (June 20, 2007) – Brad Coleman has now been close enough to win his first NASCAR Busch Series race. The 19-year-old’s second place finish and near-win at Kentucky last weekend has him determined to take that first checkered flag at the AT&T 250 in Milwaukee this Saturday.

“We ran consistently in the Top 5 for the entire race and were in position to win it at the end,” Coleman said of last week in Kentucky. “All that does is make you even hungrier for that next race which will be this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. I have never driven there, but it won’t take me long to get settled in. And when I do, I am going looking for that No. 90 car because I owe him one!”

Coleman is referring to the No. 90 Citi Ford driven by his good friend Stephen Leicht, the 20 year-old who took the lead and win from Coleman with 13 laps to go in Kentucky. The two young drivers compete almost nightly on race simulators in Coleman’s Huntersville, North Carolina apartment. Coleman said he won’t hear the end of it from Leicht until he wins.

“I have to respect my elders,” quipped Coleman. “But I did that at Kentucky and now I am gunning for him.”

The Top 5 finish at Kentucky was Coleman’s first and gives him two Top 10’s and four Top 20’s in his young 7 race Busch season. Coleman also captured the Pole at Talladega. His efforts in Kentucky also earned him the Raybestos Rookie of the Race Award for the second time this year.

This weekend will mark only the second back-to-back race weekend for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver.
