WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE SAM’S TOWN 300 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES RACE AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, MARCH 10, 2007.
Marcos Ambrose led once for one lap to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Sam’s Town 300. Ambrose led a lap for the first time in three career Busch Series starts.
Ambrose and Brent Sherman (39th) each led the same number of laps but Ambrose took the honor because of his higher finishing position.
Ambrose was also the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in today’s race at Las Vegas. He UNOFFICIALLY holds a two-point lead over Juan Pablo Montoya (45-43) in the chase for top rookie honors.
UNOFFICIALLY Ambrose is fifth in the Busch Series championship standings, 12 points behind fourth-place Kevin Harvick and 32 ahead of sixth-place Jon Wood.

We got ourselves bad tires there the middle part of the race, went a lap down, and once we got the good tires back on we were good to go.
