KESELOWSKI LOOKING TO KEEP TOP-10 STREAK ALIVE IN JRM 027

  • NASCAR Busch Series rookie Brad Keselowski will make his 10th start for JR Motorsports in the No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in Friday’s Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
  • The JR Motorsports team is racing chassis No. JRM 027 this Friday at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The team has competed with this car twice before, scoring twin seventh-place finishes with Keselowski at the wheel for the races at Bristol and Dover.
  • Keselowski has three previous starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway – two in the Busch Series and one in Truck Series competition. In last year’s Dollar General 300, Keselowski started 32nd and finished 34th. In his only Truck race at LMS, Keselowski finished 24th.
  • In three prior starts at LMS, the No. 88 JR Motorsports team scored its best finish, 24th, in May.
  • Five races from the end of the season, the No. 88 Navy team has racked up one top five and seven top-10 finishes. The JR Motorsports team currently sits 18th in the owner points standings.
  • JR Motorsports announced last week that the company’s Director of Competition Tony Eury Sr. has been named interim crew chief for the No. 88 Navy team and Keselowski for the remainder of the 2007 season. Eury joined JRM in June and has more than 15 years of experience as a crew chief in the NASCAR ranks. Friday’s race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway will be his first atop the No. 88 Navy pit box.

Brad Keselowski, Driver, No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo
“Charlotte’s a pretty cool place to race at, especially under the lights. It’s pretty close to home for a majority of the teams, which makes it extra special for the guys on the team as they race in front of their friends and families. I got to experience that feeling with our run in Michigan, and I’m ready to return the favor to the guys and get them a great finish at their home track.

“We’re taking a car that I’ve run well in the last few times out, so I’m really looking forward to getting out on the track for Friday’s race.”
