NOTES:

This Week’s BB&T Chevrolet at Lowe’s Motor Speedway … Clint Bowyer will pilot Chassis No. 068 from the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) stable. Built new for 2007, this is the same BB&T Chevrolet Bowyer raced earlier this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he started fifth and finished 41st after being collected in an incident of another driver’s making on lap 12 of the 200-lap event.

RCR Busch Brigade … In 12 NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) races this season, RCR has claimed five victories (Bowyer – 2, Jeff Burton- 2 and Kevin Harvick –1). Additionally, RCR Busch teams (No. 2, No. 21 and No. 29) have posted a total of 12 top-five and 21 top-10 finishes.

RCR Busch Cars at Charlotte … In 30 NBS starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (LMS), RCR boasts four top-five and 12 top-10 finishes with seven different drivers including Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Jeff Green, Kevin Harvick, Ron Hornaday Jr., Jay Sauter and Mike Skinner.

Pretty Sporty Stuff … In eight NBS starts this season, Bowyer has earned a pair of wins, five top-five and six top-10 finishes. Despite competing in just eight of the divisions first 12 races, Bowyer is 12th in the NBS driver point standings.

Testing One, Two, Three, Testing … Bowyer and the No. 2 BB&T racing team tested at LMS May 15 in preparation for this weekend’s CARQUEST Auto Parts 300.

Down and Dirty Across the Street … Bowyer will race his Jack Daniel’s-sponsored dirt late model on Friday night, May 25 at the Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway as part of the Goodyear Fastrak Challenge. The winged World of Outlaws sprint cars headline the program with the Goodyear Fastrak Challenge late models serving as the support division.

Double Down in the Queen City … Following his duties behind the wheel of the No. 2 BB&T Chevy, Bowyer will turn his attention to the No. 07 Jack Daniel’s Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race.

The Coca-Cola 600 will take the green flag Sunday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Flag-to-flag coverage will be televised live on FOX beginning at 5 p.m. EDT. The race will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network (PRN) and Sirius Satellite Radio. Qualifying for the 12th points-paying race on the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series schedule will be telecast live on SPEED Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m. EDT.

Catch the Action … Live coverage of the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 will take the green flag Saturday, May 26 at beginning at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The race will be televised live on ESPN2 and broadcast on PRN and Sirius Satellite Radio. Qualifying for the 13th race on the 2007 Busch Series calendar is scheduled to be televised live on SPEED the same day at 4 p.m. EDT.

CLINT BOWYER QUOTE:
The BB&T Chevrolet has been really strong every time you’ve unloaded this season. What’s been the single biggest contributing factor?
“I don’t think we can necessarily point to one thing in particular. There have been a lot of things that have made us better every week. Dan (crew chief Dan Deeringhoff) is bringing great cars to the race track whenever we unload. If I had to point to one thing, that would be it. At the same time, I really feel at ease in the BB&T Chevy. It’s kind of like a clean slate every time we race. We’re not racing for points so I can genuinely have fun every time I get in the car. I can either let it all hang out or be a little more conservative when I need to be because an extra five points doesn’t make any difference.”
