Raybestos Rookie Brad Coleman enters Saturday’s Busch Series race at Kentucky Speedway with an impressive record at Kentucky Speedway. Coleman won the 2006 Channel 5 150 and scored a second-place finish in the Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati 150.
BRAD COLEMAN, No. 18 CARINO’S ITALIAN GRILL CHEVROLET: “This car is amazing. This is a brand new car we brought here with a brand new body and I was really confident coming in here and I was really confident because of our success in the ARCA series. This car is just amazing. The Carino’s Italian Grill Chevrolet is flat on the ground and it flies. You better watch out tomorrow. We’re going to be good.” BOTH PRACTICE SESSIONS WERE IN THE DAYLIGHT BUT THE RACE WILL BE AT NIGHT. “Well when we started to get shade down in Turns 3 and 4 the car just gripped even better and better. I’m confident going into nighttime. It’s going to be amazing. We did a qualifying run and we ran an .84 or something like that and I wasn't trying very hard. I didn’t want to wreck our car. We went out and did race runs later and ran an .89 so this car is flying.” IS THIS A TRACK THAT CHANGES A LOT AS IT GETS COOLER? “It really didn’t change much back when I did ARCA races here. This track is really consistent. It’s going to be a great race tomorrow night. It’s going to be exciting.” IS THERE A BIG DIFFERENCE HERE BETWEEN THE ARCA CAR AND THE BUSCH CAR? “I did a test for Brewco before my first race in Nashville and it was a lot different than my ARCA car but this car is just like my ARCA car if not better. It has a lot of grip and it’s not loose, it’s not tight, it’s very neutral. I’m excited about it.” WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD FINISH FOR YOU TOMORROW NIGHT? “A win [laughs]. Obviously we want to go out there and win because they got second here last year and they want to win here. I would love to go out there and get a top-five. That’s what I want to get out of this and it’d just be an amazing weekend.”
