Yellow Transportation 300 - A.J. Allmendinger Notes

A.J. Allmendinger
NBS Kansas Advance

Race: Yellow Transportation 300 on Saturday, September 29, 2007
Track: Kansas Speedway (1.5-mile tri-oval)
Location: Kansas City, Kan.

A.J. Allmendinger and the No. 42 Memorex Dodge Team Facts:

  • Chassis: Crew chief Brian Pattie and team are racing chassis #756 this weekend at Kansas Speedway. It is a new race car that has only been entered in one other race this year at Kentucky Speedway in June when David Stremme and team raced their way from 27th-place starting position to a fourth-place finish.

  • Their reputation precedes them at Kansas: Pattie and his crew have had two previous strong runs at Kansas Speedway. In 2005 and 2006, with Reed Sorenson behind the wheel, Pattie and crew have scored solid top-10 finishes. In 2005, the team lined up 20th and then worked their way up to sixth place to score a top 10. Then, last September the team put for a top-10 effort all around. First, they scored a fourth-place starting position and then went on to maintain an average running position of seventh place to call it a day just the same, in seventh place.

  • Standings Update: The No. 42 dropped one position, to 20th, in the NBS owner standings this past weekend at Dover. The team is just 154 away from the top 15.
