Ragan on racing in the NBS at Dover International Speedway:
“I have a lot of confidence in our ability to run well at Dover. I had my first top-20 finish in a Busch Series race at Dover in 2006. I am hoping that experience will help our chances this weekend. We had a slight setback last week at Charlotte, but the Discount Tire team is ready to put in the work to make it right. The practice sessions will be the key for us this weekend. Any time you can click off laps at Dover is a major plus. We are taking our 13th place car from Bristol, so I think we have as good if not better equipment than a lot of teams we are competing against. This year has been full of ups and downs, but we remain optimistic in our ability as a team to compete at the highest level and get top-five finishes every week.”

“We need to bounce back in a major way this weekend. The Discount Tire team needs to get that swagger and confidence back after a horrible weekend in Charlotte. We need to work hard this week in preparation and make sure we get the most out of every practice session. David has a lot of experience on this track, which is always a major plus here. Dover is a very fast concrete track that can get the best of good drivers. It is Bristol’s big brother. If David runs on the bottom of the track, and we make good adjustments on the car during the race, we should be fine. A top-five at the ‘Monster Mile’ would be a nice way to right the ship.”
