JEFF BURTON QUOTES:
You are the defending Busch Series race winner this weekend at Dover. Talk about that win last year.
“That was a late-race battle we had with Matt Kenseth that worked out for us. That win was really cool because it was my crew chief Pat Smith’s first Busch Series win. To be a part of that win and to see his excitement was really cool. That was a heck of a race. We were two-wide and then three-wide. There was a lot of excitement. That was a really gratifying day.”
What is your mindset going into Dover?
“Dover is an exceptionally fast race track. For a mile-long race track, it generates a lot of speed. You’re in the throttle a lot of the time, there’s a lot of banking and you really have to work hard to get your car to turn well. That’s what I go to Dover thinking; you have to make it turn well and keep it where you can run on the bottom. You don’t want to lock in so you can only run on the bottom. You want to be able to run different grooves. If you can do those things, you can run really well there.”
