Event: Winn-Dixie 250 presented by PepsiCo

Notes:

  • McMurray will hop into the seat of a United States Postal Service sponsored race car exactly five years after he took a specially-themed USPS car to a top-five finish at Daytona.
  • In 2002, McMurray drove the inaugural USPS Busch Series car at Daytona, which featured the 'Heroes Of 2001' Stamp. The fundraising stamp was issued by the U.S. Postal Service to honor the heroes and help the survivors of the September 11, 2001 tragedy in the United States. The U.S. Postal Service sold the stamps from June 2002 through December 2004 and raised more than $10.5 million for the families of rescuers killed or permanently disabled in the terrorist attacks.
  • McMurray drove a second USPS-themed car later that year at Richmond International Raceway, finishing second in the Funai 250.
  • In addition to the Daytona race primary sponsorship, the USPS serves as a full-time associate sponsor on the No. 27 and 37 Fords with Brewco Motorsports.

    Did you know?

  • A USPS-themed racecar has never finished outside of the top ten. Over six races, the average finish of the USPS Brewco car has been approximately sixth place.
  • Five NASCAR drivers have been behind the wheel of the USPS car, including McMurray, Greg Biffle, Johnny Sauter, Scott Wimmer and David Green.
  • The USPS and Brewco Motorsports have been racing partners since 2002.

    Jamie McMurray Quotes:
"I'm really excited about being back in the USPS car. I remember the first time I drove that car back in 2002. We were in Daytona, and I finished fifth that day, which was my second best finish in the Busch Series to that point. So being able to run that paint scheme again for USPS is a really cool deal."
