Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit Dodge Team Facts:
Sorenson Gets a 100% at Cali: Reed Sorenson gets a 100% when it comes to completing laps in his Busch Series car at California Speedway. Out of 600 laps of Busch Series competition he’s entered, Sorenson has completed them all. When it comes to Busch racing, he also has never finished outside of the top 20, totaling one top-five, one top-10, three top-15 and four top-20 finishes. Out of four Busch Series starts, two have been inside the top five. He also averages a top-15 start and finish in Busch Series competition at California.
No Time like the First Time: Sorenson’s first race at California Speedway, in February 2005, resulted in a fourth-place start and fifth-place finish in the Stater Bros. 300. It was Sorenson’s rookie year as a Busch Series driver for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS), and to date still the best start and finish the young racer has at the Fontana-based track.
California Native: Rear-tire changer Daryl Lockyer is a native of the Los Angeles, Calif. area. He has been a tire changer for 13 years and a member of the CGRFS team for almost three years. Before joining the NASCAR ranks, he grew up 30 minutes from the California Speedway and built cars for fellow California native Ron Hornaday Jr.
Chassis: The No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit team is bringing a brand new chassis out west this weekend—Chassis #656—to run in Saturday’s race. The same car was taken out to Nevada earlier this month to test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Tune in to Watch: The second Busch race of the 2007 season is schedule to start at 4:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 24, and will broadcast live on ESPN2 (TV), MRN (Radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 128.
