Team Report
NASCAR Busch Series Race 6 of 35—Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway

LAST WEEK: Tony Raines returned behind the wheel of the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Chevrolet for the first time since 2005. He looked to have one of the fastest cars at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway. Raines, who started 36th, drove the No. 33 RoadLoans.com Chevrolet into the top 15 by lap 40. Raines was warming up his tires during a caution on lap 81, when he was hit from behind by rookie driver Kyle Krisiloff. With major damage to the rear of the car, Raines had to make several unscheduled pit stops so the crew could make repairs. Despite his attempts to drive his battered machine to the finish, the damage proved to be too extensive and Raines took the No. 33 RoadLoans.com Chevrolet to the garage on lap 152. He finished 34th, 43 laps down to race winner Jeff Burton.

SOLID RECORD AT BMS: Kevin Harvick has 14 career NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) starts at BMS. Of those 14 starts, he has compiled 11 top-10 finishes including four wins and three poles.

MR. CONSISTENCY: During his Busch Series career at BMS, Harvick has completed 3,488 of the possible 3,564 laps (97.9 percent). He has lead a total of 938 laps (26 percent).

BRISTOL SWEEP: Kevin Harvick recorded his first career weekend sweep at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in April of 2005. Since then Harvick has added three more weekend sweeps to his resume.
* 2007: Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February.
* 2006: Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway in April and Richmond (Va.) International Raceway in Sept.

LUCKY NO. 9: When Kevin Harvick climbs behind the wheel of the No. 33 Bounty Super Duty Shop Towels Chevrolet this weekend he will be looking for his ninth straight top-five finish in the NASCAR Busch Series.

HARVICK PULLING DOUBLE-DUTY: Kevin Harvick will pull double-duty for the fifth time this season. Harvick will compete in the NASCAR Busch Series event on Saturday and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event on Sunday. Harvick’s most recent double-duty weekend took place this past week at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway where he finished second in the Busch Series and 25th in the NEXTEL Cup Series race.

22 AND COUNTING: Kevin Harvick will be looking for his 23rd straight top-10 finish in the NASCAR Busch Series, a streak that dates back to the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway race in June 2006.

DIVIDEND MILES: Kevin Harvick has driven 39,228 miles in his NASCAR Busch Series career. The distance around the Earth, also known as its “circumference”, is 24,906 miles. This means that Harvick has driven enough miles to circle the earth at least once with 14,000 miles to spare.

Kevin Harvick Quotes:
ON BRISTOL: “Bristol is my favorite place to go. I enjoy the short track stuff and we’ve always been fortunate to run really well there. We go there with high expectations but you never know what’s going to happen there. You can get caught up in a wreck in a hurry and have your day end early. You have to go there and enjoy it, but know that the outcome could be the opposite of what you want it to be.”

ON WHY IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO RACE IN THE BUSCH SERIES: “There is a lot more pressure than you have on Sunday. You can just go out and race as hard as you can and go for the win. I am doing 14 in the RCR car and 12 in a KHI car. Tony (Stewart) will drive for me this year again in eight races and I am racing some truck races too.”

Dan Stillman Quotes:
TALK ABOUT PREPARING FOR THE FIRST SHORT-TRACK RACE OF THE SEASON? “We haven’t tested on a short track this year, but having Kevin behind the wheel will only help. Harvick is the man at Bristol and his stats just prove that he knows how to get around the track. Hopefully we can be in position at the front of the field and avoid as much trouble as possible.”
