Kluever on racing in Mexico:
“Last year was a real learning experience for me on the road course in Mexico. It was my first road course so it was pretty challenging. My goal was to stay on track, not spin and finish the race. I almost made it until I lost the transmission with six laps to go. I spent Monday at VIR this week just to brush up on what I learned last year from experience and what Boris Said taught me throughout the year.

“Last year I was a little nervous about road racing, but this year I’m really looking forward to it. We’ve got a good car and a good set-up which will make it a lot of fun. The fans there are really into it so that makes it fun too.”

Eddie Pardue on racing in Mexico:
“We’re taking the same 3M Ford Fusion Todd raced in Mexico City and Watkins Glen last year. We put a little different set-up under it this time which should help him out. Road racing is tough when you are not used to it, so we spent a day at VIR making sure he remembers to turn right and left this weekend.”
