MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 26, 2007) – Charlotte, N.C., hosts the high octane excitement of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) this weekend at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena for the Dale Jr. PBR Clash on January 26-28.

The world’s top 45 bull riders will clash against the best bulls in the industry in this three-day event featuring three-time PBR World Champion Adriano Moraes (Sao Paulo, Brazil), 2005 World Champion Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.), 2006 PBR Daisy Rookie of the Year J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) and PBR superstars like Sean Willingham (Summerville, Ga.) and Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.) all battling the rankest bucking bulls on the planet.

It couldn’t be the Dale Jr PBR Clash without the host of the weekend, Dale Earnhardt Jr. The four-time most popular driver in NASCAR will be at Bobcats Arena on Saturday and Sunday waiting to see who will be crowned the Dale Jr. PBR Clash Champion.

“I can’t wait to see all the action,” said Earnhardt Jr. “It’s been a while since the PBR has come to Charlotte and I’m glad to be included in their return to the area. It’ll be fun to see J. B. represent his home town, along with some of my other friends like Ross Coleman and Sean Willingham go for some wild rides. I’m looking forward to spending the weekend with the PBR and watching to see who I’ll be giving the big check to on Sunday.

The format consists of four rounds of competition. The first three rounds feature the same 45 qualified riders randomly matched against the sport’s rankest bulls. The top-15 riders based upon their total cumulative score after three rounds qualify for a final decisive round of action, which happens at the conclusion of the third performance on Sunday, January 28. The rider with the highest score on four bulls will earn the coveted Dale Jr. PBR Clash event title.
