Klondike Joins Ultimate Chargers Lineup of All Star Brands
Klondike signs on to sponsor the No. 9 Dodge for 23 NASCAR Busch Series races
Joining first year sponsor, Klondike ice-cream, are eight returning Unilever brands: Ragu®
pasta sauce, Hellmann’s® mayonnaise, Wisk® laundry detergent, Shedd’s Spread
Country Crock Spreads®, Lawry’s® seasoning/ spice blends and marinades, Lipton® tea,
Wish-Bone® salad dressings, and Slim-Fast® weight control products.
This is the fourth year of Unilever’s NASCAR involvement, and follows on the heels of
last year’s successful season where returning driver Kasey Kahne won two NASCAR
Busch Series races with six top 10 finishes. This year’s driver lineup includes three
NASCAR Nextel Cup Series drivers from the Evernham Motorsports stable – Kasey
Kahne and Scott Riggs, and joining them this year is Elliott Sadler.
The program has also been a winner at retail for Unilever, with a well-documented 5:1
ROI. Klondike is quickly capitalizing on the program with a national sweepstakes and a
national ad campaign featuring primary driver Kasey Kahne. In addition, Klondike is a
proud sponsor of NASCAR and is the official product of Lowes Motor Speedway.
“The Ultimate Chargers program has been highly successful and we expect some strong
results for the Klondike brand in the sales channel,” said Ray Evernham, Team Owner and
CEO of Evernham Motorsports. “We look forward to the addition of Klondike to our
Ultimate Chargers Team and know this will be an excellent partnership.”
So this season, don’t be surprised if Kasey Kahne asks, “What would you do for a
Klondike bar?”
