Ryan Newman, No. 02 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger - Watkins Glen Busch Advance

Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 02 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger, will make his second NASCAR Busch Series start at Watkins Glen International on Saturday and his 29th in the series.
In one previous Busch race at The Glen, Newman started fourth.
Newman is the defending champion of the Zippo 200.
Newman completed all 82 laps in last year’s race at The Glen and led eight laps en route to his first road-course victory on the NASCAR circuit.
With Newman using the No. 02 on his race car this weekend, he returns to the number that appeared on his NASCAR Cup and Busch Series cars in 2002 when he drove his precedent setting ABC schedule. This is the first time Newman has used the number since that season when he won his inaugural Busch race at Michigan.
Matt Gimbel, crew chief of the No. 02 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger, will take chassis PBC-005 to this weekend’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen. This is the same race car Newman drove last year in the Busch race when he was victorious on the 2.45-mile road course.
Newman on The Glen:
“This team is ready to head back to The Glen. We had a great run at this track last year and we’re hoping to come out of New York with the same outcome.”
“Kurt (Busch) and I will both be running the Busch race and we’re hoping to give Penske Racing and our sponsors a 1-2 finish. Both of us did well in Sonoma for the Cup race and we’re looking forward to going out and having a great weekend in both the Busch and Cup cars.”
