  • Wallace currently sits 10th in the NBS driver points standings
  • Wegmans, in conjunction with Airplus Insoles, will serve as an associate sponsor on the No. 22 AutoZone Ford Fusion.
  • Five road crew members on the No. 22 AutoZone team call Upstate N.Y home: Crew Chief Todd Gordon (Camden), Car Chief Steve “Big Guy” Helwig (Buffalo), Tire Specialist Vaughn Dunn (Watertown), Mechanic Jimmy Nobis (Taberg) and Media Relations Rep. Shayna Keller (Mohawk).

    KENNY WALLACE ON THE GLEN:
“Watkins Glen, I enjoy road racing. I really looked forward to it early in my day and I still look forward to it. It’s a different part of the country meaning that it’s desolate. It’s nice for a change and I really enjoy road racing, it’s a lot of fun.”

“My team has worked really hard and they are bringing the same car we ran at Mexico City earlier this year. Hopefully we’ll be a little better this time when we get up to The Glen. Last year we had some brakes problems and caused us to not get the finish we had hoped for.”

CREW CHIEF TODD GORDON ON HEADING INTO THE GLEN:
“It’s always fun to get back up there in the summertime; it’s a beautiful part of the country. I’m looking forward to road racing, I really enjoy that. We feel like we have some very competitive race cars and opportunities to run real well. Obviously we’ve had a few struggles along the way. Kenny seems to know how to maintain and get something out of road racing. He’s preformed well and found a way to get us some top-10 finishes. I think we have a lot better pieces than before and it’ll be really interesting to see what we can do this weekend.”
