KENNY WALLACE / No. 22 AUTOZONE RACING TEAM FAST FACTS:

  • Kenny Wallace has seven NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) starts at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) averaging a 24th starting position and a 27th finishing position
  • The No. 22 AutoZone team will be running chassis #38 this weekend, #38 is the same car Wallace has run at six other races this year; posting his best finish of 13th in the Spring Lowe’s race
  • H-E-B, one of the nation’s largest independently owned retailers, will be displayed, in associate with Airplus Insoles, on the deck lid this weekend
  • This weekend marks Kenny Wallace’s 380th start of his NBS career
  • Wallace moved up one position in the point standings following Memphis to 11th just 76 points out of 10th

    KENNY WALLACE ON TMS:
“Texas is a handling race track and you have to get through the corners. Over the years it has become a much better track to race on because we’ve got more than one groove in it. It’s a very fast race track and a lot of fun to drive but getting your car to handle and keeping the tires on it is key.”

    KENNY WALLACE ON MEMPHIS:
“Our team has worked really hard to get us back into contention every week. Memphis we qualified well and even led a few laps. Unfortunately the pit strategy didn’t play out like we had hoped it would and we finished 14th.”

KENNY WALLACE ON THE POINTS BATTLE:
“There is a lot of pressure on us to perform well every weekend. We fell out of the top-10 a few races back and now we are doing all we can to get back up there. I have never finished outside of the top-10 in the NASCAR Busch Series so you can imagine how determined we are coming into these last few remaining races.”
