Todd Kluever on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
"Our goal this weekend in Texas is to have a good, solid run. We’ve struggled a bit at our last few mile and a half tracks, which we thought would be some of our strongest tracks. For us, it’s not an issue of finding the speed, it’s been an issue of keeping it the whole race. We’re still learning to keep up with the track changes throughout the race. At Atlanta a few weeks ago I was really pleased with the 3M Ford Fusion early in the race, but it just got tighter and tighter as the race progressed. If we can keep that from happening then we should have a good day.
“I’ve raced at Texas twice in the trucks. The first time we brought the totally wrong truck for that type of track and we really struggled. The last race in November was pretty good and we ended up with a top-10 finish. If we can come out of Texas with a top-10 finish this weekend I will be pleased, especially with all of the Cup drivers who will be in the race.”
Mike Kelley on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“Texas is typically a good track for the Roush cars in both Cup and Busch. We’ve got a few things planned to try during practice that hopefully will keep the car much freer during the race. We’re learning that these cars need some big adjustments throughout the race to keep up with the track changes and that is one of the areas we really need to focus on this weekend.”
