NOTES & QUOTES

  • Kluever is currently 19th in the Busch Series point standings, and fourth in the Raybestos Rookie points.
  • The No. 06 team will be taking chassis #RK-372 to Richmond. This car finished 13th at Gateway in July and 18th at Dover in June.
  • This will be Kluever's third start at Richmond. He has one previous Busch start in May, and one start last September in the Craftsman Truck Series.

    Todd Kluever on Richmond:
"Richmond is an awesome track and I'm really looking forward to racing there this weekend. We're taking a pretty good car that has run well at both Dover and Gateway. It is one of our newer cars from this year and every time we race it we learn more about it and make it better. We finished 18th with it at Dover in June, and then finished 13th with it at Gateway in July. We're hoping for a top-10 finish at Richmond Friday night.

"We really had a good run going at California last weekend, but fuel mileage and pit strategy bit us. I don't know that we could have made it to the end if we had stopped during the final caution. We were hoping for another caution before the race ended, but had to pit under green which cost us a lap. We probably would have had a top-10 finish if not for that."

Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“I expect Todd to have a good run Friday night at Richmond. We’ve got a good car for him to drive, so we just need to qualify well, stay up front and stay out of trouble. Richmond is a fast track with a lot of contact. We need to keep him in a position to stay ahead of that by keeping up with the track as it changes and having good pit stops all night.”
