TOP-FLITE TEAM READY FOR WIN
Despite struggling with a bout of bad luck, the No. 64 Top-Flite team from RWI Racing is confident that they will again enjoy the successes of earlier this season. In the first 17 races of 2006, the team posted an impressive 11 top-20, nine top-15 and six top-10 finishes. However, since the second Daytona in July bad luck has plagued the team, which has only captured three top-20 finishes in the last 10 races.
Heading into Richmond, the Top-Flite team is again confident that the No. 64 will be in contention for a top-10 finish. Unloading car No. 6418, the car that McMurray raced to a top-10 finish at Phoenix earlier this season, hopes are high that the finish will reflect the talent and capability of the team.
RWI RACING QUOTES
Jamie McMurray on Richmond… “Richmond is a tricky race – almost as uncertain as Bristol. You may have a great car, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you going to get a great finish. There’s definitely going to be a lot of beating and banging, but hopefully we’ll stay out of serious trouble and bring our car home in one piece with a top-10 finish.”
Crew Chief Bryant Frazier on Richmond… “We’re taking a pretty good car this weekend. Jamie already has a top-10 in it, so hopefully we’ll stay out of trouble and get another top-10. I feel confident that we have a top-10 car, if we can avoid the typical short track trouble.”
