Emerson Radio 250 - Richmond International Raceway

Harvick Dominates for Third Straight Richmond Win
Kevin Harvick dominated in winning the Emerson Radio 250 at Richmond International Raceway amongst a record-tying 14 caution periods. This is Harvick's third NASCAR Busch Series win in a row at Richmond and his fourth career win and eighth top-five finish in 12 career events at the track. The car that Harvick was driving has also won three straight races and has yet to be beaten. Harvick nailed down his fifth win of the season and the 23rd of his NBS career. Harvick piled even more points on his gargantuan lead in the series standings, now leading Carl Edwards in second place by a whopping 619 points. Greg Biffle was the runner-up in the Emerson Radio 250, finishing 0.925 seconds behind Harvick. Matt Kenseth finished third, while Paul Menard finished fourth, the highest among Busch Series regulars. Reed Sorenson came home in the fifth position, rounding out the top-five spots in the finishing order.

Jeff Burton Wins Richmond Busch Series Pole
Jeff Burton will lead the field to the green flag for tonight’s Emerson Radio 250 at Richmond International Raceway after winning the pole position during Busch Series time trials. Burton, who has won twice in only 12 attempts this season, captured the Busch Pole after posting a lap of 21.368 seconds, at an average speed of 126.357 mph. This is Burton’s 11th career NASCAR Busch Series pole position and his first since Darlington in March of 2002. Ron Hornaday will start from the outside pole, followed by Matt Kenseth in third. Hometown boy Denny Hamlin will start fourth while runaway point leader Kevin Harvick rounds out the top-five positions on the starting grid.
