NOTES & QUOTES
Kluever is currently 22nd in the Busch Series point standings.
The No. 06 team will be taking chassis #RK-349 to Richmond. This is the same car that Kluever raced at Atlanta and Bristol.
This will be Kluever's second start at Richmond. He competed in last year's Craftsman Truck Series race.
Todd Kluever on Richmond:
"I'm looking forward to racing at Richmond Friday night. The 3M Ford Fusion we are taking should be very competitive. It's not the same car we tested at Richmond in March. We weren't entirely pleased with our Richmond test, so we decided to bring a different car. It ran decent at Atlanta, and it got wrecked at Bristol. We just got it back from the fab shop a few weeks ago and decided it would be the right choice for Richmond.
"I think the month of May is going to be a very good month of racing for this team. We've got a brand new car to test at Lowe's next week and a lot of good tracks coming up on the schedule this month. Richmond is such a cool track, especially under the lights. We should have had a top-five finish in the truck there last year. We were running fourth with 20 laps to go when a lapped truck spun in front of me. I slowed down, but the guy behind me didn't and ended our night sooner than we wanted. Hopefully we can get that top-five finish this weekend instead."
Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“I think the car we are bringing to Richmond this weekend will be much better than what we had at the test. We tested the same car we raced at Phoenix and that car has never performed the way we expected. I’m also really pleased with how our pit crew did at Talladega last weekend. They’ve really worked hard and our pit stops were much better. Hopefully we can put it all together at Richmond this weekend for a strong finish.”
