WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE BASHAS’ SUPERMARKETS 200 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES RACE AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, APRIL 21, 2006.
Jason Leffler was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200. Leffler led the race twice for 78 laps and captured the award for the first time this season. Leffler also led the most laps in the event. He was credited with a 22nd-place finish.

Leffler won the pole at Phoenix, his fifth pole in 92 career starts. His most recent pole came in 2004 at California Speedway.
Leffler has now led 12 superspeedway races for a total of 246 laps in his Busch Series career.
Leffler is 12th in the Busch Series championship standings, three points behind 11th-place Reed Sorenson.
J.J. Yeley leads the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings following the Phoenix race. Yeley is the only driver to win the award more than once this season.
