ANDRETTI HEADS BACK TO MUSIC CITY
Although he may not know how to play one, Andretti is focused on taking home a custom designed Gibson guitar trophy in “Music City.” Andretti has only two Nashville Superspeedway starts under his belt. In his first Busch race on the 1.33-mile track, Andretti got caught up in an accident relegating the team to a 28th place finish.
The FreedomRoads team is taking chassis #1503 to Nashville. It’s the same car the team raced in Phoenix earlier this year where Andretti finished 34th due to a mid-race accident.
Gaining ground every week, Andretti is currently second in the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year point standings, 13 points behind leader, Burney Lamar.
Looking forward to seeing some of the flavor that made Nashville famous, John Andretti will be making an appearance at the CMA fan festival to sign autographs alongside country music artists. Andretti will be at the Nashville Convention Center from 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 9th.
ANDRETTI AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY
Saturday night’s running of the Federated Auto Parts 300 will be Andretti’s second Busch Series start at Nashville Superspeedway but he has one previous NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start on the Lebanon, Tennessee 1.33-mile tri-oval.

“We’ll be going to Nashville for the third time; the second time in a Busch car and I’m looking forward to it. Nashville is a stand alone event and I think they do a great job of promoting the event. It’s a fun race track, it’s concrete and we’re just coming off another concrete track at Dover. I think when we go back to Nashville we should be a lot better. We got better in the spring race but unfortunately got body slammed on the track and ripped the right side of the car off. We should have a better handle on things this time and it should be a better race from the get go.”
