WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE PEPSI 300 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES RACE AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY, APRIL 15, 2006.
Paul Menard was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in the Pepsi 300. Menard led the race once for three laps and grabbed the honor for the first time this season.
Menard finished ninth in the race, his fourth top-10 of the season.
Menard is sixth in the NASCAR Busch Series championship standings, one point behind fifth-place Carl Edwards.
Menard has now led seven superspeedway races for a total of 83 laps in his Busch Series career. Prior to today, the most recent race where Menard led a lap was March 5 in Mexico City.
A different driver has claimed the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award in each of the last six races.
J.J. Yeley leads the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings following the Pepsi 300. Yeley is the only driver to win the award more than once this season.
