WALLACE READY TO GRAB MEMPHIS BY THE HORNS
Just one year ago, Steve Wallace made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Memphis Motorsports Park, impressing fans and the NASCAR community with a remarkable 11th place qualifying effort and a 15th place finish. Since his inaugural race, Wallace has made 13 Busch Series starts, accumulating three top-15, three top-20 and six top-25 finishes. Heading back to the site where it all began, Wallace, with more experience is eager improve on his previous Memphis stats.
“We did really well here last year,” said Wallace. “We qualified well and ran in the top-15 or so most of the day. Towards the end of the race, I got caught up in a wreck but still managed to pull off a 15th-place finish. I’m really excited to race Memphis again and am looking forward to a good run for the Dodge Motorsports team.”

WALLACE COMES OFF OF IMPRESSIVE ARCA RE/MAX WIN AT IOWA
Steve Wallace and the No. 61 Transamerica – Hantz Group crew once again made an impressive showing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, capturing their fourth pole and third win of the 2006 season. Despite an early race close call and late race pressure from Kraig Kinser, Wallace dominated the majority of the race, leading 177 of the 250 lap-event. In the end, Wallace, whose father Rusty designed the 7/8-mile speedway, triumphed in the inaugural Prairie Meadows 250 at the Iowa Speedway.
“To win at Iowa was awesome. My dad worked really hard designing the track – making it a fun, safe place to race and for me to win the first ARCA race there is pretty special. I’ve learned a lot this year racing in the ARCA Series and feel like I’ve gained a lot of experience that will help me in the (NASCAR) Busch Series. I am looking forward to Memphis and hopefully can apply some of the things I’ve learned throughout this year to get a solid finish.”

CHASSIS INFORMATION
The No. 64 Dodge Motorsports team will be unloading car No. 6405. Wallace raced this machine at Bristol in March and at both Dover races. He also wheeled this car last year in his Busch Series debut at Memphis.
“I am expecting good things from Steve this weekend. He’s a great qualifier, so I know we will likely start near the front. He’s raced Memphis before with a lot of success. He knows his way around the place. I am looking for a solid top-10 run from him this weekend.”
