This is the first primary paint scheme for Evernham Motorsports’ partner vitaminwater.
The chassis that Kahne will race this weekend at Memphis is nicknamed ‘Wind Bak Flame.’ It got its name during the Richmond race weekend when the No. 9 Evernham Motorsports Busch crew visited a Horse Race in the surrounding area and were brought into the victory celebration as guests, taking pictures with the winning horse and rider. The horse’s name was Wind Bak Flame, and the guys affectionately nick-named the car after him that weekend.
This will be Kahne’s first start at Memphis Motorsports Park with Evernham Motorsports. He has one previous career NASCAR Busch series start there in which he qualified 18th and finished 15th (2003).
This will be Kahne’s 16th race in the No. 9 Ultimate Chargers Dodge Charger this season. He has led 238 laps in 2006 NASCAR Busch Series competition.
