A Nashville native, Atwood is racing close to home this weekend, as Memphis Motorsports Park is just around 200 miles from Nashville.

In just three Busch Series starts at Memphis, Atwood has two top-10 finishes.

Did you Know:
Atwood’s average starting position of 5.7 at Memphis is his highest average start in Busch Series competition at tracks where he has had three or more starts. In his last two races at the track (2000 and 2003) Atwood started and finished the race in the top-10.

Casey Atwood on Memphis:
“I feel real good about this weekend. It’s always fun to race close to home, near family and friends.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Memphis too. I missed the pole there by just a little bit in 2000 and had a strong finish. I also had a good run there in 2003, when I started seventh and finished tenth. I know Stewart and the Brewco guys will work to give me a nice up-front place to start this weekend and we'll see how we can translate that into success in the race.

“We know we need a good finish in the No. 27 SCOTT® Brand Tissue Ford Fusion this weekend and we have just a few more chances to get a win for our friends at Kimberly-Clark in 2006. The whole Brewco team is ready and looking for a win in Memphis on Saturday.”
