MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK FACTS & STATS:

  • The No. 77 Dollar General stores Chevrolet team owner, DeLana Harvick, is 22nd in Owner points, 19 points back from 21st-place and 1,881 points behind the leader.
  • Kevin Harvick holds the fastest race speed record at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park in the Busch Series, speeding around the 0.75-mile oval at 92.352 mph. Harvick went onto win that event in 2000. Rookie driver, Burney Lamar, can capitalize on gaining knowledge about the track from team owner and driver, Kevin Harvick.

    ALL ABOARD: Dollar General, primary sponsor on the No. 77 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, has invited the teams from Kevin Harvick Inc. to enjoy an evening on the Mississippi River aboard a Memphis Riverboat cruise. The road crew and race day crew members will climb aboard the Memphis Queen III while in town for the Busch Series event in Memphis, Tenn. The Queen III is one of the newest and finest riverboats in the fleet.

    SHOW CAR PARADE: The No. 77 Dollar General stores Chevrolet show car will drive in the NASCAR Busch Series show car parade on Thursday, October 26. The event will kick off the NASCAR race weekend activities in Memphis for the Busch Series Sam’s Town 250 on Saturday, October 28. The parade will end on Beale Street for a media luncheon.

    ROAD TRIP: The Dollar General Corporation is located in Goodlettsville, Tenn., a short three-hour drive to Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park. There will be a number of Dollar General employees and guests making the trip to watch the live action of the No. 77 Dollar General stores Chevrolet race in the Busch Series event.

    ST. JUDE’S CALLS MEMPHIS HOME: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital calls Memphis, Tenn., home. Dollar General’s corporate office has teamed up with other nationally recognized corporations to support Thanks and Giving. The partners are supporting the mission of finding cures and saving children everywhere who are fighting cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Dollar General hosted St. Jude’s patient, Penelope Baer and the Ledford family in Charlotte for the event at Lowe’s (N.C.) Motor Speedway on October 13.
