WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE CARFAX 250 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES RACE AT MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY, AUGUST 19, 2006.
Cale Gale was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in the CARFAX 250. Gale led the race once for two laps, the first time he has led in three career Busch Series starts. He was credited with a 34th-place finish after being involved in two cautions. Gale was running at the finish of the event.
Gale’s best finish was 20th in the June race at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway (race No. 15).
Gale becomes the 13th different driver to capture WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Busch Series this season.
Jason Leffler and Paul Menard are tied for the lead in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.
