Double Duty: Mears will make his seventh NASCAR Busch Series start of the season and 70th career start this weekend at Michigan International Speedway in the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge. Mears earned his first NASCAR victory at Chicagoland Speedway in his last Busch Series race in July. Mears and crew chief Brad Parrott have four starts together in the Busch Series this season for CGRFS with an average finish of fourth. The duo finished third at Texas, eighth at Phoenix, led 59 laps at Charlotte before taking the checkered flag in fourth and captured the win at Chicagoland.

Mears has three starts at MIS in a Busch Series car and in those three races he has earned one top-five and two-top 10 finishes along with two top-10 starting spots. His best finish came in 2004 when he crossed the striped line in fourth. Parrot has won at Michigan International Speedway in the NEXTEL Cup Series, not in the Busch Series.

Busch Chassis: Parrot and the Texaco/Havoline Busch crew will bring chassis #654 again this weekend for the Carfax 250. Mears drove this chassis to victory lane at Chicagoland and to a top-five finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway earlier this year.
