LEFFLER LOOKING FOR SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED LUCK AT KENTUCKY

  • Leffler has only one previous NASCAR Busch Series start at Kentucky Speedway. In 2004, Leffler posted a 7th place finish at the 1.5-mile track after starting from the 4th position and leading four laps.
  • In two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts at Kentucky Speedway (2002 and 2003), Leffler has one pole (‘02) and two fifth-place finishes to his credit.
  • Leffler will be going to Kentucky not only as a driver, but as a team owner as well. On Friday night, Leffler will sit atop the pit box to watch Bud Kaeting compete in the Silver Crown race driving the No. 29 car, owned by Leffler.
  • Leffler currently sits 13th in the NASCAR Busch series point’s standings after 15 of 35 races.

    LEFFLER ON KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY:
“Kentucky Speedway is a place I have had a pretty good amount of success at in the past, so of course I am looking forward to going back there this weekend. It’s a fun track to drive because with the wide grooves, you can pretty much run where you want to and where your car is handling the best.”

LEFFLER LOOKING FOR LUCK AT KENTUCKY:
“The last couple of weeks have not exactly been kind to us, so we are hoping for a little bit of luck this weekend to help us get back on track. Nothing can make up for what happened to us last weekend, but a win at Kentucky would at least take some of the sting out of it. I’d say that with our previous success at Kentucky we should have a pretty good shot at it.”

    EQUIPMENT INFORMATION:
The No. 38 Great Clips team will compete with chassis # 15, a favorite of Leffler’s, in this weekend’s Meijer 300. Chassis #15 is the same car that Leffler drove in the April race at Nashville (35th), as well as Texas (17th) and Atlanta, where he posted a season-best finish of sixth.
