    QUOTES:
Burney Lamar will race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series event on Friday night and the NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday night.
“I’m extremely excited about going to Gateway. [Jeff] Burton was in the car two weeks ago and I tried to apply what I learned this past weekend in Martinsville. Although the results didn’t show it we had a really good car. We unfortunately got caught up in an incident and lost track position, and everyone knows how important track position is at Martinsville.”

“I’m excited for the rest of the year especially for Gateway and running the ARCA race. The biggest challenge that I’ve faced this year in the Busch Series is going to tracks for the first time. Not only racing for the first time, but for the first time even setting foot on the property. We had planned to run three ARCA races this year in conjunction with a full Busch season. We ran the ARCA race at Daytona, we were supposed to run at Nashville and Gateway. Unfortunately, the team ran out of time to build a car for Nashville. Having the opportunity to run the ARCA race the night before will give me plenty of laps around Gateway.”

What advice has your crew chief, Gene Nead, given you about Gateway?
“Gene [Nead] said I won’t be happy this weekend at Gateway. He said that the car will be too tight in one corner and too loose in another. But I’m confident with the extra seat time this weekend and Gene’s track record the No. 77 Dollar General stores machine will fair pretty good.”
