    Jeff Burton’s starting position (36th) for his June win at Dover is the worst starting position of a winner in 2006.
    Ryan Newman’s September 2005 victory at Dover was the third victory at the track from a first place starting position. Joe Nemechek’s win from the Busch Pole May, 2003 was the second Dover race won from the pole; first done by Morgan Shepherd, September, 1986.

    2006 Busch Series Points Race:

    1st place Kevin Harvick won his sixth race of 2006 at Richmond. It was the 23rd win of his career, making him fourth in all-time wins. One more win will tie him for third-place in all-time wins, 24, by Tommy Houston. Richmond was Harvick’s 11th consecutive top 10 finish. Harvick has the most wins of any driver this season, and he is the only driver who has completed every race lap in 2006. He has 18 top fives and 25 top 10s. Average 2006 finish, 4.9 vs. 6.9 (16 races) in 2005. In nine NBS Dover, he has one top five and five top 10s. He finished 13th at the track in June.

    2nd place (-619) Carl Edwards finished ninth at Richmond. He was 12th at California, eighth at Bristol, 23rd at Michigan (accident), and 27th at Watkins Glen. He has two poles, four wins, 12 top fives, and 20 top 10s in 2006. Average 2006 finish, 11.6 vs. 12.8 (27 races) in 2005. In three NBS Dover, he has one top 10, ninth last September, and one top five, second in June.

    3rd place (-659) Denny Hamlin finished sixth at Richmond. It was his first top 10 in three races. He was 15th at California and 22nd at Bristol, losing a position in the standings. Hamlin was sixth at Michigan and gained a position in the standings. Hamlin has two wins (Mexico and Darlington), six poles (the most of any driver this season), 10 top fives and 18 top 10s. Average 2006 finish, 11.9 vs. 15.2 in 2005. In three NBS Dover, he has two top 10s, sixth last September and seventh in June.

    4th place (-845) Clint Bowyer finished 37th at Richmond, his fifth consecutive finish outside the top 10. He won the pole but finished 13th at California. Bowyer was 23rd at Bristol, 12th at Michigan, 16th at Watkins Glen, and 40th at Raceway Park, losing a position in the standings and ending a streak of top 10s at five. Bowyer has eight top fives and 12 top 10s. Best 2006 finish, second (4X). Average 2006 finish, 13.4 vs. 10.5 in 2005. In three NBS Dover, he has two top fives, second last September and fourth in June.

    5th place (-902) J.J. Yeley finished 13th at Richmond. It was his third consecutive finish outside the top 10. He was 40th (accident) at California, 12th at Bristol, ninth at Michigan, 11th at Watkins Glen, and third at Raceway Park, recovering from a 37th at Gateway. He has eight top fives and 17 top 10s. Best 2006 finish, second (Kentucky). Average 2006 finish, 13.6 vs. 20.5 in 2005. In five NBS Dover, he has one top 10, ninth this spring.
