VENUE: DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY (ONE-MILE OVAL)
CIRCUIT: NASCAR BUSCH SERIES (RACE 29 OF 35)
EVENT: SATURDAY, SEPT. 23, 2006 (200 LAPS, 200 MILES)
KYLE AT 'THE MILE': Kyle Busch has competed in six NASCAR Busch Series races at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, earning three top-10 finishes that include a sixth-place effort in June.
ALL-AROUND SUCCESS: Busch has raced in a total of 11 NASCAR-sanctioned races at Dover's "Monster Mile." Along with his trio of Busch Series top-10 finishes, he has earned three top-five results in the NEXTEL Cup Series, including two runner-up performances in 2005. Busch has also posted two Craftsman Truck Series top-10s that include a victory last season.
TEAM REBOUND: After experiencing a mid-season slump, the Lowe's/Shop-Vac team has posted top-15 finishes in the past four Busch Series races. At the remaining seven tracks on the schedule, Busch has earned two victories, nine top-five finishes and 13 top-10s.
CHASSIS 275: Crew chief Chad Walter has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 275 as the primary option for Saturday's Busch Series event at Dover. The car won at Bristol, Tenn., in March and finished sixth at Dover in June. It has earned top-10 finishes in all four of its races this season.
WALTER REED VISIT: Busch will join other drivers in visiting the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 LOWE'S/SHOP-VAC CHEVROLET: (YOU HAVE EXCELLED AT DOVER. WHY?) "I go into Dover excited to race. And if you like a track, you tend to drive it differently. Dover is finicky and it demands the best out of your race car. There's no 'relax time.' You have to be up on the wheel the whole 200 or 400 laps. It's a battle out there. I guess that's why I like it. You can't fake it at Dover. You have to have everything perfect to win there."
BUSCH: (YOU'VE MADE THE CHASE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP. DO YOU LOOK FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE BUSCH SERIES RACES TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CUP PERFORMANCE?) "There's only so much you can take from a Busch car and apply it to a Cup car. They're just too different to do that anymore. The biggest benefit of racing in the Busch race on Saturday is getting more on-track time before the Cup race. The more time you're in the car, on the track, the better feel you get for the track. And that can do nothing but help me on Sunday."

CHAD WALTER, CREW CHIEF OF THE NO. 5 LOWE'S/SHOP-VAC CHEVROLET: (WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CONCERN FOR CREW CHIEFS AT DOVER?) "Pit road at Dover is so narrow that it causes a lot of concern for me on race day. It seems like accidents happen on pit road all the time there. Track position is very important because you want to get on and off pit road as easily as possible. Qualifying will be important on Friday. If Kyle starts up front and we have good, consistent pit stops throughout the race, it should be a pretty good day for the Lowe's team."
WALTER: (WITH DOVER BEING A CONCRETE TRACK, DO YOU APPROACH THE RACE DIFFERENTLY?) "The biggest difference between concrete and asphalt tracks is that concrete isn't so easily affected by the weather. However, concrete does have a tendency to build up rubber more so than asphalt. So tire wear can be a concern at Dover. Other than that, we approach it like every other race on the schedule."
