Kluever on racing at California Speedway:
“I am looking forward to going back to California. We ran 12th there in the spring and the cars we have now are a lot better than the car we had there in the spring. We’re taking the exact same car that we ran at Michigan two weeks ago and that’s been a new car for us so we’re starting to get a history built with it. We’re starting to find out what it likes. I’m really excited about that, plus I get to run the Cup car there again too. That’s a big help.
“California has been a really good track to me every time I’ve been there. I ran fourth there in the truck race my first time there and we ran 12th there in the Busch car at the beginning of the season. I’m anxious to get back to some place where we can run well.”
Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at California Speedway:
“This car ran pretty well at Michigan a few weeks ago so it should run well at California since the two tracks are so similar. We were in the top 15 and probably could have had a top-10 finish until the transmission broke on a restart with a few laps to go. The last three weeks have been pretty disappointing for us so hopefully we can make up for them at California on Saturday.”
