California Speedway Update
August 31, 2006
Kertus Davis was caught-up in someone else’s troubles at Bristol. Kertus was steadily making his way through the field, when suddenly he found himself in a long slide toward the pit wall. “Another foot or two and I would have missed it” said Davis. “But, that’s Bristol.”
The RACEGIRL Chevy crew looks forward to the trip to California. The Monte Carlo will carry SHAUG construction on the lower quarter panel. Johnny Davis said that his new consultant, Jack Ingram, fielded many calls and even more questions after the Bristol announcement of the two long-time BUSCH Series stalwarts teaming-up to get ready for 2007. Johnny said he had been approached by several people who “understand the potential of this team and want to help.”
California Speedway presents a challenge for all teams, but that challenge is welcomed by the Davis’ crew. “It is a long trip for all teams and especially for us, but with our marketing and PR operation located in the Phoenix area; we feel we can do a great job for our partners on the West coast. RACEGIRL is headquartered there and we have a great volunteer crew who help us when we are out there”, said Johnny.
