Busch Series
Double Duty: Mears will make his eighth NASCAR Busch Series start of the season in the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge for the Ameriquest 300. Mears and crew chief Brad Parrott have five starts together in the Busch Series this season for CGRFS with an average finish of 3.6. The duo finished third at Texas, eighth at Phoenix, led 59 laps at Charlotte before taking the checkered flag in fourth, captured the win at Chicagoland and finished second at Michigan two weeks ago.
Mears has three starts at California Speedway in a Busch Series car and in those three starts he has one pole and a second-place finish. Parrott has won three of the last four Busch Series races at California Speedway as a crew chief.
Busch Chassis: Parrott and the Texaco/Havoline Busch crew will bring chassis #654 again this weekend. Mears drove this chassis to victory lane at Chicagoland and to top-five finishes at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and Michigan.
