CLINT BOWYER
Ready for a Return to Form at California Speedway
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2006) – Last season at California Speedway, Clint Bowyer and the ACDelco Real Car Guys were a force to be reckoned with, and they are ready to step back into the spotlight this weekend in the Ameriquest 300 on Sept. 2.
In 2005, Bowyer was the only driver to finish in the top five at both California Speedway events. The Busch Series rookie and his ACDelco race team were in the spotlight for most of the season as they contended for the NASCAR Busch Series title, ultimately finishing second in the standings behind Martin Truex Jr.
However, this season is a little different. Bowyer and the ACDelco Real Car Guys have faced some challenges, but are hoping to regain their 2005 form this weekend. The Real Car Guys and Bowyer are ready for their chance to shine in 2006, and based on last season’s success, California Speedway seems the perfect place to do so.
Clint Bowyer about California Speedway…
About his success at California Speedway in 2005:
“We had two awesome races at California last season. We got a pole in September and finished in the top five both times. We are really good at that track, and I can’t wait to get back there this weekend. The ACDelco team needs something to turn our luck around, and I think California Speedway may be just the thing we need.”
