ANDRETTI GAINS MOMENTUM IN JULY
Coming off an impressive battle for the win and a 10th place finish at Daytona International Speedway Friday night, the #10 ppc Racing team is looking to keep that momentum going for Saturday’s running of the USG Durock 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. Andretti has said all season that this #10 team would really come together in July and August and judging from the team’s first July outing, Andretti is right!
The RVs.com/Camping World team is taking chassis #44 to Chicago. It’s the same car the team raced most recently in Kentucky, where Andretti finished 15th.
Andretti is currently second in the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year point standings, just eight points behind leader, Burney Lamar.
Moving up another spot with last weekend’s finish, Andretti took over the 12th position in the Busch Series driver point standings and the #10 team sits 16th in series owner point standings.

Saturday’s running of the USG Durock 300 will be Andretti’s first start at Chicagoland Speedway in the Busch Series, but he has 3 Nextel Cup starts on the Illinois 1.5 D-shaped tri-oval already under his belt.

“I like Chicago! It’s a mile and a half tri-oval that drives a little different but in a way it’s like Kentucky. I feel like we had a really strong car in Kentucky and hopefully in Chicago no cautions will fly at the wrong times and we will get the result we deserved earlier. Chicago is also the hometown of our sponsor FreedomRoads so you always want to put on the best show when you are in your sponsor’s backyard. We will definitely try to do that this weekend.”
