Casey Mears Quotes:
On Chicago…
“Last week was a huge points day for this Texaco/Havoline team. Donnie (Wingo) really saved the day for us with his pit call. Chicago is a good track for me and the team. The car we are taking ran well at Charlotte, so I’m optimistic about his weekend. We need to continue to run in the top 10 and get into the top five if we want to make The Chase, but we also need some guys to run bad. If everybody in front of us runs well all the time, we’re going to stay stuck around 15th. Matt Kenseth came back last year and made The Chase, but the other guys did a good job of falling backwards at the same time. This is the point in the year where some guys get stronger and go, and some guys are going to make mistakes. Hopefully we are one of the teams that run strong and leave Richmond with a shot at the championship.”
