Stephen Leicht Bristol Advance
LEICHT BRISTOL NOTES-
This weekend’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway will mark Stephen Leicht’s 14th NASCAR Busch Series start. The Food City 250 will be Leicht’s first start at the .533-mile short track. Leicht grew up racing on the short-tracks and looks forward to making his Bristol debut.
LEICHT’S QUOTES-
“Although I’ve never raced at Bristol, it has always been my favorite track. I’ve been there at least 10 times and I always hoped that someday I would get the chance to compete there. I think the key at Bristol is to try and secure a good qualifying spot and stay out of trouble. I know that we need to focus on making qualifying runs during practice and getting the CitiFinancial Ford dialed in for Friday night.”
“We are taking the same car that Matt (McCall) raced at Bristol in the spring. The guys at the shop put a new body on it, so we are looking forward to a strong finish.”
CHASSIS INFORMATION-
The CitiFinancial team is taking chassis No.B8 to Bristol. This is the same chassis that RYR raced at Bristol (started 21st, finished 24th), and Darlington (started 25th, finished 25th) earlier this season.
APPEARANCE-
Leicht will be signing autographs at the Food City Family Race Night, downtown Bristol on Thursday, August 24, from 6-7 p.m. The festival is located on State Street.
