Sharpie Mini 300 - Ford Post-Race Quotes

DAVID GREEN-27-Cottonelle/Food City Ford Fusion (Finished 25th) - "I think I missed all the wrecks, but we haven't figured out this tire. Here you're going to run good times by yourself, but I couldn't race in traffic because my car slid the front there. We had something happen to the right front and we chunked the right-front tire out. Some guys have it figured out, but it looks like it's pretty much Nextel Cup."

JON WOOD-47-Clorox/American Red Cross Ford Fusion (Finished 17th) - "We've got something going on. I hope they find it at the shop. I think we broke something. From the start of the race it never really was what it was in practice, so I really don't understand. All things considered, and as bad as we were at some times, to bounce back and have a decent finish like that, I'm not going to complain."

DANNY O'QUINN-50-Barr-Nunn Ford Fusion (Finished 11th) - "We needed that finish today. Good times there. We were a little concerned there because after the break I fell back to 32nd, so we made some major improvements in the car. Right there at the end, it wasn't like we just pitted out of sequence. We raced our way up to 11th and we had a really awesome car. The Barr-Nunn Fusion was awesome and the guys had awesome pit stops today. Drew (Blickensderfer, crew chief) made awesome calls, everybody did, even the spotter. Everything went well today. We just needed a day like this to get us back on track. It was big for us in points, and we've got some momentum to take with us to Texas."

CARL EDWARDS-60-Ameriquest Mortgage/Soaring Dreams Ford Fusion (Finished 5th) - "The guys did a great job. The car performed really well. We took a gamble to get track position and I think we had 170 laps on the tires. I just had a blast. That was fun racing those green-flag runs. Congratulations to Kyle Busch, and too bad Greg Biffle had trouble."

TODD KLUEVER-06-3M Ford Fusion (Finished 34th) - YOU HAD TWO EARLY INCIDENT THAT SET THE TONE FOR THE REST OF THE RACE. "Our 3M Ford Fusion is a little banged up right now, but we were just in the trailer devising up a plan. Mike Kelley (crew chief) is doing an awesome job with that. Obviously, it's just Bristol. Jason (Keller) wasn't giving me very much room, and I just got the apron a little bit and got the wall. It did bend the lower control arm a little bit on the right front, I think. The steering wheel is straight, though, and everything is good. The rear end's moved a little bit in it, but all it really did was free it up quite a bit as you can tell when I spun out there again. We've got a plan and I think the car is fine. I've been really upbeat, trying to keep my guys upbeat. I think Kertus will get his lap back under this caution, and then we're two down, but we're the only one. The way the day has been going, cautions will come out quite frequently. We still have a really good chance of getting our 3M Ford Fusion a good finish." WILL THE WEATHER DELAY ALLOW YOU TO REGROUP MENTALLY? "It's be a new start with a bent up race car. It's my deal. Jason didn't do anything wrong. He was on the outside holding me down like he's supposed to. It's unfortunate. We had run-ins in practice and went to the backup car, and right away we had a problem. My guys work really hard, and the car is good enough to still run well. We just have to get our laps back and come up with a plan."

KENNY WALLACE-22-AutoZone Ford Fusion (Finished 8th) - "A top-10 is a good thing nowadays, but it's pretty common for me up here in Bristol. I just think it's really good for our team. We've struggled trying to run coil-bound all year long. We kind of went back conventional; this track here you can't do coil-bound. It's good for us. I'm happy for the whole team. My teammate John finished right behind me, so it was good for our whole team." HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED A DAY LIKE TODAY WITH THE WEATHER? "Never. This was the craziest day of racing that I've ever been part of, but I'm really glad I was part of it. I'm glad I can say, 'Remember when we were at Bristol and we had the snowstorm.'"

EDDIE PARDUE, Crew Chief-16-freecreditreport.com Ford Fusion (Finished 28th) - "We had a loose right-front wheel there at the end. I'm not sure why because we stopped with over 100 to go that last time. We made it that far and had a vibration and had to come in and change right-side tires."

MATT KENSETH-17-Ameriquest Mortgage Ford Fusion (Finished 3rd) - "Our tires just weren't any good at the end. I messed up on that restart and Kyle got me, and that ended up costing us the race. I feel bad about that. The Ameriquest Fusion was just a different car on 70-lap tires. If you could run 60 or 70 laps and get a caution, it was just real fast. I couldn't keep up until that last caution, so I wish I would have been in front."

DANNY O'QUINN, JR. PRESS CONFERENCE

"The car started off really bad today. We thought we were going to struggle today, and we fell back to 31st. This is a big morale booster for the team. They had awesome pit stops all day. Drew really made good calls on the pit box. He got the car handling really good, and we were able to work our way up to 11th and hold our own there and race cars. I think with one more pit stop we could have had a shot at a top-10 or a top-five, so we're definitely happy. That's a big points day for us, and I can't say enough. It's just a big day for the team. We needed to get a good run in, and these first five races were tracks that I've never been to. Coming here to Bristol, I've raced here three times so I definitely felt comfortable coming here and I'm just happy with the way things went today."

"That was definitely our main goal. Coming in here, we knew we probably didn't have a shot at winning the race, coming in here as a rookies, but we thought we could come out of here with a top-10, top-15 finish. That's what we expected out of ourselves and we got that. The biggest thing right here at the start of the season, we're kinda back in the points, and just to log laps and finish races and just get me seat time in these Busch cars, that's going to be the biggest thing for me right now. This is just my sixth Busch race, so we just need to finish all these races here and just get to all these tracks one time, and then we can go back the second time and run well hopefully."

JOHN ANDRETTI PRESS CONFERENCE

"I'm just real happy with our run because, obviously, we're trying to build a program. It's a new team basically. ppc Racing is not new to the series, obviously, with a championship and all that, but coming here to Bristol, I'm just always happy to leave Bristol with a car in one piece because if you have a car in one piece, you're going to pretty much have a decent finish. I'm just glad to be getting out of here. I'm glad to be getting out of here today and not Monday."

"I've never been to a race track that we didn't have snowmobiles at it that had a blizzard, and it did it twice in a day. I saw Kevin before the race, and he caused the snow in qualifying so he could start on the pole, and I don't know who caused it during the race. Probably me because my car wasn't as good as I wanted it then, so we made an air pressure adjustment. I'm just really glad to get out of here. Usually a clean Busch race is a catastrophe in the Cup. I was just to prepare you guys."

MATT KENSETH PRESS CONFERENCE

"It was OK. I think Kevin had the best car and the 16 had a pretty good car. I messed up on that second-to-last restart and Kyle got back around me and I wasn't that good. Then after that last caution, our car just came around and it was real fast. I with I would have been in front."

TALK ABOUT RACING KYLE BUSCH. "The restart, I'm not sure. I just must have had some junk on my tire or something and I got on the outside of a lapped car, and I tried to get back in the gas too early and the front end wouldn't turn and I got up in the marbles. That was just a dumb mistake by me. We didn't really have many run-ins, but I kept trying to pass him and he just kept chopping me off. I got outside of him twice and he used the lapped cars as a pick and ran me into the marbles. He came over to my spotter two or three times and said, 'Hey, don't hang me out on a restart if we get even and you've got a faster car, I'll let you go.' So, I didn't hang him out on the restart and once we got running I got under him two or three feet three or four times before I finally stayed in it, so I don't think he has much to be mad about. That was my space."

"Nobody ran into the back of me all day and I didn't run into the back of anybody all day, so from my part it was pretty good. I just had a little thing with Kyle, but I think if you hit somebody in the left-rear tire underneath them, that's kind of your spot. From where I was it was pretty clean, but I was toward the front most of the time."
