JR Motorsports Hires Engineer for Busch Team

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (December 8, 2006) – Dale Ferguson has joined JR Motorsports to serve as Lead Engineer of the No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS team for 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season.

Ferguson, 35, comes to JR Motorsports after spending the last year and a half working on the Haas CNC Racing Busch Series program. The Milton, W.V., native brings an engineering degree from the West Virginia Institute of Technology and more than 10 years of experience to the Navy team.

“I’m excited to join the JR Motorsports team for the 2007 season,” Ferguson said. “I was able to watch the team in action this year and I’m looking forward to becoming a part of JR Motorsports and working with Shane (Huffman) and the whole Navy crew. I think I can bring a lot to the organization and help them run even better next year.”

“Dale is a great addition to our team,” said JR Motorsports Busch Series crew chief Wes Ward. “It’ll be nice to have an engineer onboard to help us with research and development. This year we had to outsource a lot of our engineering support, so it’ll be good to now have those capabilities in house. Dale’s a great engineer and racer and with his help we will continue to make great strides in 2007.”
